Among the top 20 most amazing newly opened hotels of The Sunday Times chart could be found one from Prague.

Czech can show off with another European success. Prague hotel Buddha Bar got into chart “The most amazing hotels”, which is made by British The Sunday Times.

Even though world hotel business along with tourist industry are probably the most effected by the crisis, during the last year there grew hundreds of new and very luxurious hotels. “Exact numbers are not known, but it is around hundreds. Right in Prague, except the Buddha Bar hotel, there was opened hotel from chain Rocco Forte this year, talking about the best hotels,” said Pavel Hlinka from Association of hotels and restaurants.

Ranking of new hotels was based not only on furniture and accessories, its architecture but on design and decorations as well. The winner, Dutch hotel Citizen, was helped by original picture made by Andy Warhola in entrance hall, German hotel Kameha Grand had its design made by Marcel Wanders and style a la Alice in Wonderland.

Czech five-star Buddha Bar Hotel, which was opened in the beginning of this year, combines exotic orient and Prague secession. Night in the most luxurious apartment costs almost two thousand euro.

And that is why in the chart of the best new hotels it belong among the most expensive. While night in Buddha Bar for one room is from 377 pounds, for instance Dutch Citizen hotel starts at price 69 pounds.

Most of the hotels however met fall in sales revenue. Only in Czech, according to Association of hotels and restaurants, prices felt about 20 to 30 percent for one room. According to hoteliers it has been the worst season in ten years. The supply outstrips demand and Prague has even more hotels than for example bigger Vienna.
